Jackson’s parents were born before independence, so he would be covered by the Constitutional adoption provision of the relevant clause, as would Jefferson and Buchanan, both of whom had one foreign born parent. However, two presidents whose parents were born after the adoption of the Constitution had foreign born mothers, Woodrow Wilson and Herbert Hoover.

Thank you for clarifying that.

(However, I feel it necessary to point out that Wilson and Hoover’s moms were both WHITE, which makes them much more American-like right there.)
