Anyhow fact is, the NRA wants badly to convince their members that Obama’s out to take away their guns even though he hasn’t been anti gun at all. Nothing wrong with gun ownership but the NRA are showing why many on the left see them as watercarriers for the GOP.

The NRA is simply a pilot project for what the modern GOP is, indeed, what modern American Conservatism is: a marketing project. A marketing exercise where conspiracy theories and crackpot ideas are used to sell raw, naked fear to low-information people who like being fearful and angry. It’s worked for the NRA for decades, and FOX and the rest of the media has proved that it works just fine on an entire political party’s supporters too.
