It comes down to the idea that sex is purely about procreation. If one can bend their mind around that idea then it becomes divine duty and therefore there is no such thing as rape. It is a case of a man realizing a divine urge and the woman (regardless of age or consent) has to participate.

In the rest of the animal kingdom it is called breeding.

Not quite. In most species, females choose the males they wish to procreate with. I should think human females would be granted that same right. Clearly, this isn’t a universal opinion. (see Republican party)
