Kids don’t run around their neighborhoods anymore. After school, weekends, on holidays, their time is spent in a child care setting or participating in supervised activities.

Parent’s no longer trust their kids are safe outside without supervision.

My God, how completely opposite it is here in the Czech Republic. On weekends, you’ll see the kids running around everywhere, on scooters or bikes or skateboards, or just walking around or hanging out at the mall, totally unsupervised by their parents.
