It’s also somewhat clever and evasive of him. He can point to this tweet and say, correctly, that HE, DJT, isn’t saying Russia didn’t meddle. He’s only saying that Russia says it didn’t meddle. But he doesn’t follow it up with his own views, or acknowledge the US IC investigations. And needless to say, he still can’t bring himself to criticize Russia or Putin at all for anything nor can be bring himself to say the truly patriotic, nationalistic thing, that being that he will make sure that countries who meddle in our election will pay a price. Because of course he invited that meddling himself.
