i’ve been saying this for 20 years
it’s right there in the instructions to the I-9
cut the ‘demand’ and make the supply ‘legitimate’

it’s the employers that are skimming and scamming everybody
if you work you pay taxes, get (some) benefits, and workplace protections

The problem will be the employers who say, “I can’t find anyone to do this work!”, when what they really mean is “I can’t find anyone who will do this work for the shit wages I want to pay!”
