Last thread, there was a twitter thread by @garius on small stories of history. I found it very moving, and way down the line, there was this, for Nyet:

Moving. Visited Ukraine recently and discovered that the beautiful park we visited was once part of the old Jewish cemetery. Over two weeks the Nazis systematically murdered over 10000 Jewish people into a pit. The have a memorial which is lovingly maintained by the locals.
