When we obsess over the exegesis of the 2nd:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

“Why is there a comma there”, “what does well regulated mean”…

Why don’t we we talk about the simple fact that it’s bullshit.

“A well regulated militia” is not just unnecessary for “the security of a free state”, it’s also useless, often contra productive.
