From the you can’t make it up department, Glenn Beck is pushing development of a Glee-killer.

For those that don’t know, Glee is a program aired on the News Corp’s Fox broadcasting channel.

Among the issues Glee has tackled is the issue of bullying, sexual identity, racism, and of coming out - both to fellow students and to one’s parents, and teen pregnancy.

Beck sees something wrong with that? Oh wait - being gay is bad.

The teen pregnancy was carried to term - and the baby given up for adoption (not aborted).

So, what’s Beck’s beef? That it isn’t conservative enough? That they aren’t stringing up Chris Colfer’s character? That he and the other Gleeks are not being stuffed into lockers sufficiently? Oversexed students?

That too is a reflection of student life in high schools - but once again, Glee showed the consequences of Paradise by the Dashboard light - a teen pregnancy and the emotional toll on those involved.

Don’t expect much to come from Beck’s project, it’s just another one of his vanity projects.

What’s funniest is his chosen code name for it: Project Oedipus.

Because nothing says “family values” like killing your dad and humping your mom.
