1) Let’s remember that choosing Palin brought McCain’s polling numbers up even with Obama - so she helped his campaign. Those numbers tanked at the exact same time as the financial system imploded. So McCain didn’t lose because of Palin - she was an asset.

2) Oh, and I’m sure we all remember that Palin seemed to have a pretty good grasp of how many states there are. So there was that media bias too. Obama, and the gaffe machine he ran, could do no wrong, as far as the media was concerned. Palin, in contrast, was held responsible for dippy things said by Tina Fey, for cryin’ out loud!
