Not to mention at this point the administration has the smell of death on it, and Christie tends to be risk adverse. He probably still thinks he’s got a chance at running for the Oval Office again.

Given what will be left of the GOP after the Trump scandal finally blows up, he may be right. Every single one of them will be tainted, and the ones who aren’t will be despised by the Trump cultists who are the GOP base.

Or else Big Chris is going to try to hedge his bets, and audition for the role of “token Republican” in the next Democratic President’s Admin.
