A biography for the president said: “Donald J. Trump’s term ended on 2021-01-11 19:22:18.” A biography for Vice President Mike Pence showed a similar message.

It was not immediately clear what caused the mistake, but an archived version of the same page revealed a similar message in mid-December, saying Trump’s term ended on December 17.

BuzzFeed News, citing sources, said a “disgruntled staffers” was behind the changes.

Trump is facing calls to resign in the wake of last week’s attack on the U.S. Congress, killing several people and injuring dozens more. Democrats and a few Republicans have called on Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to immediately remove Trump from office.
