I sometimes ask myself, “since when are we electing members of the clergy.” And since when are people like Michael Long, or Doug Hoffman the standard bearers of moral purity or even role models to that effect. We know nothing of them other then there (pseudo) theologically tinged rhetoric.

To that end if one seeks moral guidance they go to a rabbi, priest, philosopher, or imam. Not to a politician, let alone Michael Long or Doug Hoffman.
