No, no…Sarkozy didn’t attend either — from that Reuters UK article — argh— it was quoting comments made by Harper and Sarkozy (but both were in their respective home countries — Canada and France.) The highest level diplomat at this event was Iran’s President (that’s why he delivered the opening address)…no other country sent in so high a level person (no presidents from any country, other than Iran.) France, did, however send in an ambassador (Britain sent in lower level diplomats, no ambassadors.) Also, note that Italy is boycotting (no delegates there), but the Vatican (considered a “state”) is there? (?) I’ve also read some comments at major European “news” sites (France one, etc.) and the “comments” by the “ordinary citizens” (?)— omg — absolutely beyond belief (all raging antisemites, imo — yet all carefully worded and no profanities, yet clearly haters of Israel/Jews of the first order…ironically because the “posters/commenters” making the comments are all so seemingly “level-headed” you couldn’t even flag a moderator…it’s very, very troublesome.)
