My prediction is that, between now and 2018, there will be a move to make the Tea Party a legitimate party. Either that or the Libertarian Party will attempt to recruit “serious” Republican (aka the business wing) of the party into their ranks by promising all the “pro-business” policies they like without the lunacy.

If Johnson weren’t cratering in the polls, I think the Libertarian part would actually be possible. As it stands, however, he now looks like he’ll probably miss the 5% mark required to qualify for public funding, meaning that future Libertarian nominations will remain worthless.
