The market futures are pointing to an opening on the upside due to anticipated improving profit numbers.

You see, all the layoffs and cut backs tend to lower operating cost, so even though sales may be down and the economy crummy, profit numbers can be improving.

I been noticing that. At some point rising unemployment will grab attention, and we’ll see an pullback, but for now this ride up is nice for some brokers and Wall Streeters.
