Riiight.
Because your average 12 year old is itching to get a shot.
And can figure out how to file the insurance claim.
I think the vaccine is wonderful and like any other vaccine that prevents disease, people ought to be lining up for it.
But I have a really hard time thinking that it’s OK for the state to provide this to 12-year-olds without parental consent. Whose consent is needed to administer it - the 12-year-old? A teacher? The doctor? Who? There are forms that have to be signed for vaccines, describing possible side-effects, etc. Who will sign these accepting responsibility for any side effects?
