That’s a good question. I just finished looking at Hurriyet, and I’m seeing the same type of economic problem the rest of the industrial world is having. They also have some weapons deals going with the US.

If that paper is an accurate reflection of Turkish life, they don’t seem all that concerned with either Israel or Europe. The paper is very quiet about the incursion into Iraq. Mostly, I believe that they wish to fight on the economic battlefield. If the paper is accurate.
