I think we’re just used to it. It’s been going on for a long time, not only being tracked by the government (which is slow in this regard). My bank knows everything about us, where we are, what we do—since almost every activity involves some kind of electronic financial transaction, Wal-Mart can almost read my mind, Amazon and Google know my thoughts…

No, it’s not the same thing as government surveillance—but the government would simply have to access all that’s already floating around in The Cloud.

I’m not used to it. The fact that I have a phone and a phone bill (a lot of data about me right there) should in no way reduce the need for a warrant for the police to tap my line or examine my bill should still stand. Probable cause needs to stand in the way.
