We have a good opportunity to bombard the Islamic world with offensive messages until they’re completely desensitized to it, which would bode for a more peaceful future. A shame the artists of the West don’t have the wisdom or resolve to carry through on it.

Oh, bollocks. Peace through a bombardment of insults, in the hope that the folks being insulted will get over themselves? Carried out by wise, resolved ‘artists’? That sounds like it will work.

How are we planning to distribute it? Drop it from planes? Force Egyptian TV to run it? NEA grants?

So far this sort of thing has proven useful mainly to folks who want to incite a crowd for this purpose or that. And its production or lack thereof makes no nevermind to anyone. Witness the toy gun that supposedly insults Aisha.
