On January the third, the new House comes in. They will have the purse strings. Why would the Dems not let the shutdown go until then? The shutdown sucks for obvious reasons, but Drumpf chose a really shitty time to do it. Which is not surprising, because he’s Dog’s own fool. He really doesn’t understand how any of this works.

Drumpf would lose all leverage and the incoming HoR would have it all. This is just Drumpf at his testosterone fueled worst. Which, for the Dems, is an absolute bonus. They will be the heroes of this standoff. They will quickly pass a budget and send it to Drumpf.

What are his choices then? By January the sixth, when Pelosi will absolutely have a funding bill going to the WH (it’s already in her pocket), the shutdown will really start to bite, and the Dow will be at around 20,000.

I’ve never seen a POTUS this stupid.

The House can pass anything it wants — but the Senate will vote against it. Do you really think McConnell will allow any decent legislation to get through?
