I’ve been thinking about this and I’ve come to what I think the reason Oprah is giving Jenny McCarthy her own show. It’s not really about ideas, it’s about the following; Jenny McCarthy has an engaging persona, her nutty ideas have given her a following, and she’s still a knockout in the looks department. That trifecta is the reason McCarthy is getting her own show. In a way, that makes it worse: Oprah is letting a lunatic have a platform in order to line her wallet. Bad, lethal, sick.

Having a brain is always an attractant for me, looks are only temporary. Being a good-looking dimwit is the surest way to get me to tune out.
