Beats me. I rarely down ding. Only for true trollish behavior. And I didn’t rate that post at all. I’m on my desktop, so it is just weird.

Sometimes what I have happen - because I use Spy mode - is I go to upding a comment or check a score on a comment, and a new comment appears and my mouse lands on the downding button instead. I usually catch it in time, but it could be something like that.
