A nominee for a judge pleading the fifth should* be a killer.

Shutting up and not saying anything after yesterday’s display of how he wants to tell everyone how good a man he is and he needs to get his name back…would also be stoooopid.

Brett Kavanaugh has two choices: take the FBI grilling with many other witness weighing in or refuse the nomination.

I think the discussion is about Mark Judge, not Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh refusing to speak to the FBI would probably be grounds not only to reject his nomination but to open an impeachment inquiry regarding his current seat on the bench. Mark Judge is a witness and possible co-conspirator, and has every right to assert a Fifth Amendment right in this situation. How a senator then uses that information in their vote for or against Kavanaugh is between them and whichever deity they claim to believe in.
