Very sorry that he was hurt but participating in violent protests is very risky. He was standing between a violent crowd and police, even though he wasn’t being violent himself, he put himself in a very dangerous situation. Also sorry that it cost the city and tax payers 4.5 million, the community could have put that money to good use.

You might want to review that video. Seems to me Olsen was standing there peacefully, by himself, and had not moved one foot from his original spot at the beginning of the video. He was targeted, I think.

He deserves even more than he got, IMHO, considering the extent of damage he suffered, including how it might affect his future life and earnings.
