There’s no proof whatsoever that pirating in any way actually negatively affects a company’s bottom line. It’s equally stupid for people to pirate ‘on principle’, but anti-pirating attempts often demonstrably negatively affect the company’s sales.

I think Netflix has a right to a PAC as long as everyone else does, but I also don’t think lobbying groups spending money to influence legislators is a way to get good law crafted.

The problem with PACs isn’t Netflix. Obviously. Isolating them in this useless matter about freaking movies, which is largely a Western luxury, doesn’t garner much sympathy in me and is way down on my priority scale. There is a noticeable loss in revenue through pirating. Apple App store lost 450 million from my quick 30 second search.
