I really can’t answer that since I speak for myself. However, it has been my experience that there’s certainly a great deal of opposition to drone use in many forums including place like Current. There is no silencing of said dialogue or rhetoric either. We all have our own particular issues that we hold high and dear. Speaking for myself I don’t see drone use as a primary concern since that comes after foreign policy. Foreign policy makes that decision. So it’s not a matter of our using “drones” in AFPAK but the overall regional policy itself since if we weren’t using drone we’d be using a more conventional platform. Stopping drones won’t stop wars.
