Home Depot is shutting the Expo Design Centers, because they underperformed and got away from their core business, even as the market was big for home improvement and upscale improvement. That follows a move by Sears a while back to close their Great Indoors concept stores for a similar reason.

It stands to reason that a store for do it your selfers wouldn’t do well trying to pimp a full service design service.
