In auto, you hold the trigger down and the weapon will keep firing until the magazine or belt is exhausted.

In burst, you hold the trigger down three rounds are expended and you have to release and squeeze the trigger again. The bust is not auto… it is a modified semi auto to release 3 rounds instead of 1.

Sorry, but you’re just wrong about this. There is no such thing as “modified semi auto” fire.

A 3 round burst is a controlled automatic fire mode.
