I don’t know. They’re black and make her calves look great. She has interviews at Stanford and MIT/Harvard for her MD/PHD program coming up, so these are shoes with a purpose— to give her confidence to nail those interviews.

She’s really actually an incredibly savvy shopper, so I’m sure she got them at an enormous discount. It’s just more the shock that two little shoes represent that much.
