You didn’t miss anything. My “idiocy” comment was reserved for this incident, no further comment. I was not trying to do an equivalency thing, regardless of your attempt to portray it that way. Whichever party is not holding the office of the Presidency is worse during that period, for some reason.

I don’t think that’s true, though. And I wasn’t trying to portray you as having done anything, and not sure why you think I was.

I have little faith that anything any major league politician does is for the purpose of doing the right thing rather than for the purpose of showing up the other side.

But this actual story is really one of bipartisan cooperation. That’s what’s confusing me here. In this case, Holder is working to help Stevens, and numerous other Democrats are. now, it may be self-serving because all of them take kickbacks, direct or indirect, but it’s definitely not being done to show up the other side.
