Robert Horton, Handsome ‘Wagon Train’ Star Who Wanted More, Dies at 91

Wagon Train was the quintessential TV western from the genre’s heyday. It was my parents’ favorite but I preferred The Rifleman and, especially, Have Gun, Will Travel.

That was the era of Westerns. Funny how TV goes through these phases. Now we’re wall-to-wall police procedurals and comic-book characters.
