…and this right here is why my BoB friend hates Hillary and would never vote for her -_- It’s also why I think that, had she won in 2016, the Dem base would’ve been so demotivated in 2018 that GOPers would’ve swept to a supermajority* in the Senate.

That is the schizophrenic nature of American politics. If Clinton was President, the GOP would likely have retained its House majority and won even more Senate seats than it did. If we luck out, the silver lining to four years of Trump may be Democratic control of Congress and the WH in 2021.
