I made the mistake of looking at one of the threads on abortion on /r/politicsdiscussion.

It’s fantastic to read all these (probably >90%) guys talking about why abortion should be illegal when they will never, ever be subject to any of the risks of pregnancy or have to deal with the ramification of the decision either way.

With no understanding that the illegality or legality of abortion does little to change the actual birthrate —only the maternal death rate.
