He reached out constantly, and anyone who isn’t willfully ignorant can see that. Problem is the Republicans were doubling down on Palin-esque insanity about death panels and socialism and completely untrue math. “Obama’s Waterloo”. does that sound like the words of a party that wants to cooperate? The object of the Republicans was to stake everything on destroying Obama’s HCR, and weakening his presidency. And they failed all over the place. No matter how he reached out, they’d deny him. Theyw eren’t honest, they weren’t willing to cooperate, negotiate, or even listen. This is settled, these are checkable facts.

Did you miss the part where Obama’s HCR is so much like Mitt Romney’s Massachussets system that it’s torpedoing Romney’s chances in 2012?
