You have GOT to read her letters. She’s vitriolic when J is wan.

This pissed her off more than just about anything, IMAO.

Anyhow, they were all real men with real flaws. It’s why while I admire the founding fathers, I don’t believe in holding them up on a high pedestal because they did make mistakes and they did have flaws. That doesn’t invalidate their work . It just means we should see them as products of their times and not push them into the realm of secular sainthood. Yes, we can appreciate them, nothing wrong with that but assuming that they knew best on everything is a fallacy.

I mean, look at my other fave Presidents: Abe Lincoln and TR. Flawed, crazy mutants. Say something awesome one day, say something suckily the next. Do something awesome one day, do something lame the next.
