We watched a German mini-series a while back, Heimat, that we enjoyed. The first and the second “seasons” were better than the third but it was worth the time. We watched it on Netflix DVDs.

We’re on the lookout for our next ‘British cranky loner detective’ series, having gone through Luther, Broadchurch, Happy Valley, and at least one other.
