OK, here’s a stupid question…how is it possible to get anything done in DC (and for that matter in state and local governments, because the stink is everywhere) without going through lobbyists? What if I got into office and simply refused to deal with them or let my staff so much as look sideways at them? Would I be ran out of town on a rail? I mean, we didn’t always have K Street, did we?
