personally i avoid using “majority” or my pet peeve re agw, “vast majority”, because that starts to move into argument by popularity territory

im very comfortable with “the experts in that field”.

It doesn’t hurt to acquaint yourself with a few key points.

1) The infrared absorption spectrum of Carbon Dioxide is an incontrovertible fact.
2) The amount of CO2 we pump into the environment yearly is easily calculable from known global fossil fuel usage.
3) The rise in atmospheric CO2 is an incontrovertible fact.

So, then you ask, “Which of these do you not accept? Why not?”

They’ll fall back on “It’s a cycle!”, but remember - 10 years ago, the argument was that warming had stopped. 10 years before that, that warming wasn’t happening at all. When you keep changing the argument you use to deny something, you’re just starting from a conclusion and trying to twist the facts to fit it.
