Really good look today dragging non-violent Catholic nuns and monks out in handcuffs for protesting cruelty. Really good look, God’s Own Party.

That’s actually walking their church’s walk. I’m impressed. (No, I’m not going to CCD any time soon, but damn, I hope the GOP gets a giant exodus of Catholics from their party over that.)

I unfortunately expect that to have less impact here in Pennsylvania than expected. Despite the state’s history of ethnic diversity, especially in the western part with the various groups immigrating to work in the coal mines and steel mills, there are a lot of very conservative Catholic congregations that are racist in their core and/or are going to be single issue voters and pin the entire abortion issue on the Democratic candidate. (The last based on experience with two friends/co-workers who I am pretty sure voted Trump in 2016 justified solely by that stated reason. I have yet to ascertain whether their views regarding Trump as a candidate have changed since then.)
