Sure, Putin’s destruction of democracy in Russia was nothing. Not a cause to “sour up” on him or anything. And “moving against Georgia” was completely unpredictable, LOL.

I’m not sure how much Putin’s democracy wrecking Bush noticed, Sergey. It wasn’t at the top of his priority stack, coming in well below Iraq and Afghanistan. not to mention some of the domestic matters that still had to be dealt with.

Also, what would a more confrontational approach have changed?
