You know, some of the prosecutors and police investigators in a case like that need some kind of penalties if they didn’t use all manner to look for innocence. Unpaid suspensions and maybe loss of their jobs would be a start. If proven to be malicious then some time in prison for those guilty.

And I’ll stop there. No need to go over another long debate about death penalties. Well, at least for me anyway.

Problem is that so many of the cases being overturned today are from decades ago. By now, the people involved have either retired or died. And the most those who came after them can do is offer an apology, because they refuse to take responsibility for fear that it will help any civil cases brought against them.
