I hadn’t heard much/anything about anything going on in Belarus: I thought that country had one of your old-fashioned Russian-style governments: i.e. a kleptocratic oligarchy ruling behind a rickety facade of “democracy” - basically still an SSR with the hammers-and-sickles removed….
