Trident is absolutely needed. The UK needs those nukes. They represent power the UK needs.

Nukes yes - trident no.

We can project more real power with decent aircraft, logistal systems and better serviced infantry with the moeny saved from Trident.

Lots of us over here realise where we are in the world - which is no where near where we used to be, we are not a pretend super power. No threats we face are remotely linked to anything trident is useful for.

The latest defence review provided the basis going forward on top three threats - none of which are confrontation with nuclear power or showdown with any none state actors who will be discouraged by sense of self preservation.
