I suppose you are right though I do think a campaign surrogate should have their facts ready and on point but perhaps this person is young and or inexperienced with politics which really is one of the problems I’m seeing with Bernie’s camapign even though he himself has been in Congress for years.

And I really don’t want to give them any benefit of the doubt. I’ve spent years training myself not to do it, and it’s really hard, and I still sometimes fail. I would expect higher ups in a campaign to have done that as well, and to do it better than me, especially on something that obvious.

I really don’t want to give any campaign operatives any benefit on either side. That’s why the Clinton ones had to apologize (not because of me, but because they really screwed up).
