I just got an email from the ACLU. I don’t think the ACLU had much about me other than public info and the email address I gave them…

I got the same email. I looked at what Blackbaud sent. I then went to the web page at Blackbaud.

Because protecting our customers’ data is our top priority, we paid the cybercriminal’s demand with confirmation that the copy they removed had been destroyed.

I don’t know how you could prove that the data had been destroyed. I just don’t. If it were my non-profit, I’d be asking a person like Brian Krebs (or someone similar with that kind of background) what he thought about this information.
