Has anyone been following Germany’s energy markets?

I have been seeing occasional articles that it has been in extreme turmoil due to Russia slowing down natural gas exports. Which in turn has driven up prices. (This is what also precipitated the crisis in Kazakhstan.)

David Frum has been looking at increased use of nuclear power to offset natural gas import vulnerability. Germany has, as a matter of policy, been moving away from nuclear power for at least the last decade.

It’s because they let Angela Merkel retire.
