I honestly didn’t know who founded Earth Day, and I don’t give a shit. I’d just like to enjoy the earth as long as we can keep it functioning. I’ve seen mountaintop removal coal mining, seen photos of the shit that gets done in huge ore mining digs, read of the toxic chemicals that get dumped in our streams and rivers, and giving the Earth one day of recognition seems like the LEAST we could do for raping (a term I don’t use lightly) our natural resources so consistently.
