Apparently there’s no record of her being tattooed, but her son (future king) and lots of her relatives were.

It pops up in some cultures and not in others. Doesn’t seem to be a big pattern for it.

What I really wish we had in our culture was a facepainting tradition rather than a makeup tradition.

I’ll pass on the penis gourds, though.
