In my little corner of the world, at $20 p/h, you can live like a king at 40 hours a week. $3200 p/m gross here……shit, you’re in the big leagues!

Cheez, I was making that in the 90s (in my 50s, though), and never made it again. Really hurt my SS, too.

$3200/mo looks really good right now, compared to what I have to live on, at least in NC. It’s all relative, though; I’d never survive in a state that had higher living costs. For instance, compared to $500K houses in CA, you can buy a great house here, outside the city, on an acre+ lot.
